This article provides explanations as to why a user may be receiving the below message:
"Sorry, you don't have permission to access this resource."
There are two main reasons why a user will receive the "Sorry, you don't have permission to access this resource" message.
- The user's role has been recently changed, but the user has not signed out and signed back in.
- If the user's role has been changed, but the user was still logged into the environment at the time of the change, the user will need to log out of AuditBoard and then log back in for the change to take effect. Otherwise, the user will see the above message.
- A user can log out of AuditBoard, by clicking on the User initials in the upper right-hand section of the AuditBoard platform and then selecting the "Logout" option that appears:
- The user is attempting to access a page that the user's role does not give the user access to.
- If the user was provided a URL that directs the user to a location that the user's role does not have access to, the user may receive this message.
- This can also occur if the user is attempting to click into an area of the site that the user does not have access to.
- Please check the role that the user is assigned to and ensure that the user's permissions are set up accurately to provide access to that area of the site.
